This is a tribute to Edward and Madeline Beyuka, well the Beyuka family really. A lot of us are familiar with the Arizona Highways magazine August 1974 edition with Edward and Madeline’s jewelry gracing a full page spread. You can imagine how exciting such a prestigious showing this was for the family. Here I am nearly 50 years later amazed with the kachinas and the incredible work put into them.

Philbert Beyuka is often compared to his Father in his silver work. If you follow his work you know his kachinas are longer and really are his own style. However, what a lot of people do not know is that Philbert took the time to recreate the Arizona Highways spread creating his own kachinas very similar to his Father’s work. Here I have included pictures of Philbert Beyuka’s kachinas as they sit in front of me today. The similarities are beautiful.  All Kachinas can be worn as a bolo tie or stored standing when not on display. The seven piece Zuni Kachina set created and signed by Philbert Beyuka sells for $33000
